SL Interactive Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy came into effect from 21 December 2001. SL Interactive, and our clients, must comply with all requirements of The Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 (the Act) from this date.

Collection and Storage of Personal Information

In the course of our business, personal information such as names, addresses and mobile phone numbers may be collected and held, for use in fulfilling the intended purposes. This includes information required to provide customers and others with products and services. Information retained on our database is also used to inform stakeholders and customers of relevant developments in procedures or products which we believe is either necessary or will assist in the use of the product or service we offer. Unless we are informed otherwise, we will continue to use the information collected in this manner.

Users are under no obligation to provide personal information. However without certain information we may be unable to provide the products and services, or facilitate the preferred payment method. All information is securely stored either on servers in a secure data centre with restricted access or on secure hard drives in-house. In some cases, such as certain web-based services that are contracted out, necessary contractual measures are taken to protect this information.

As all personal information collected by SL Interactive is provided by the consumer, knowingly and willingly, the quality of data is accurate, complete and up to date at the time of receipt. Accuracy of information is important to us and changes or corrections to information held will be welcomed at any time.

All reasonable steps are taken to protect the security of the personal information held, be it stored in electronic or hard copy form. Except for the reasons given in the NPPs, access is available to the person whose information is held, subject to the payment of reasonable expenses incurred in extracting such information. SL Interactive respects stakeholders’ privacy at all times. During the processing and delivery of your message or image, we only collect personal information about you that is vital for the successful delivery of a service or an application. The primary purpose of this information is to provide you with a highest level of service possible. Your personal information is never sold, forwarded or leased to any unauthorised parties or entities.

We reserve the right to use the information on our database to inform customers of new products and services, which we believe require assistance or instructions for their correct use. These informational messages are made to comply with the Telecommunications Service Provider Determination 2005 No1. under section 99 of the Telecommunications Act.
